The lounge was reopened after some renovations in December 2014 to coincide with the launch of Etihad's A380 services from Heathrow, and is located at gate 10, near the SkyTeam lounge. It's a shared lounge, so there is no special area for First Class passengers, but the lounge is spacious with plenty of seating and a very elegant interior based on the lounge in Abu Dhabi Terminal 3.

Score: 7/10. People traffic. The number of people in the House Lounge fluctuates around the Etihad flight times (at 3pm and 8:45pm to Abu Dhabi). Etihad Airways flies the A380 out of London, which has the whole top deck catered to premium passengers. A full premium cabin will see a large influx of passengers in the lounge.

The second best airport lounge at Heathrow Terminal 4 is probably the Etihad Airways First & Business Class Lounge, which can be found directly below the SkyTeam lounge in Terminal 4. The lounge is situated opposite Gate 10 and 11, which is fortunately where the majority of Etihad flights depart from (including ours), however it couldn't be much further away from the fast-track security. The Etihad Airways First & Business Class lounge is located in Terminal 4 of London Heathrow (LHR), across Gate 10. Complimentary access is restricted to first- and business-class guests and Etihad Guest Platinum and Gold members. This Etihad lounge is located in Terminal 4, in front of gate number 10 (from where its Airbus A380s depart), and one level below the Skyteam lounge. It is accessible to First and Business Class passengers, who share all the facilities. When I arrived at the lounge's reception desk, a member of Etihad showed me around the lounge - they did.

The Etihad lounge is by Gate 10 at Heathrow Terminal 4 and, while that's handy for departures (Etihad's A380 leaves from gate 10), is about as far away as you can get from Fast Track security. The Etihad Lounge agents at the front desk were very friendly, smiley and welcoming as, it turned out, were all the staff in the lounge.
